League Update

1.  Registration is due by December 30.  Please register by this Friday December 30 so we can get the teams put together.  You may make your league fee payment any time prior to or on the first game day, but please register online beforehand.  Please have all of your players register as soon as possible.  We will take late registration, but it will complicate team formation and scheduling.

2.  We have changed the rules to add an additional minute per half to make 25 minute running time halves with a 50 minute total game time.

3.  We are seriously considering changing the league rules to allow for an additional midfielder and create an 8 v.8 league format - 2 attack, 3 midfielders, 2 defense, 1 goalie.  The turf field we'll be playing on is only 70 yards long, but is 50 yards wide and has enough space to accommodate an additional midfielder.  This will allow for more playing time for each player as well.  Please post a comment on this post if you have any feelings one way or the other.

4.  We will begin posting Teams as they form and will indicate whether the player has registered or not.

5.  Come up with a name for your team and e-mail it to me.  Nothing derogatory, but have fun with it.

The Rules page has also been updated.  Please take some time to fully read the rules and be clear on how the games will be played in the NILL.  There are some significant differences that you should be aware of.

We've also added a NILL Volunteer page listing the things we'll need help with during the season.  Please check that out and consider helping us out.  We will definitely need some assistance to make the league successful.

Also, if you have any problems with Registration at all.  Please contact us immediately and we'll try to get it fixed or help you through the process.
